Hard toil with the soil

Pip is off on hols this week so we've both been working hard on the new garden together, although it's so big we don't see each other for a lot of the day!

The delivery of Dalefoot compost bags arrived today so Pip did a great job of digging out the soil from the 2 'grave plots' (brick raised beds) and moving it to the new growing spaces in prep for the cardboard and then compost to go down tomorrow.

He's also moved the soil mountain that was where the bags of compost are in this image. It's all now in the skip on the driveway. 

We have a few seedlings on the go but the rest will have to wait as we are away on Saturday for a week.
