Back to front ...

The front garden has been totally ignored until yesterday when our lovely friend Debbie arrived and offered to weed it and tidy - how fabulous she is.

The big poppies are flowering and look so amazing. It's great to see them clearly now the surrounding weeds have gone.

We've also got some striking plants in the back garden that we are going to move into the front - hydrangea, fuschia and maybe a winter jasmine too. 

They are currently in the area by the lounge window, where we've decided to place the herb garden. 

Here the slabs (front and back of the border) will be removed, soil shifted temporarily, slab walls rebuilt, soil returned, then herbs planted.
