Stacking seedlings
Growing and sowing in a greenhouse is a new experience for me.
I've invested in a soil blocker this year. It creates small cubes (1cm, 4cm, 5cm) to sow seeds into, rather than plastic pots. I'm using Dalefoot peat free seedlings compost and placing the cubes on wet cardboard in a standard seed tray in our shiny new seed tray stand. It's a work in progress so I'm learning as I go.
I have a lot of old seed too - some has germinated easily and others just don't do anything at all. More learning!
We have lovely beans and peas almost ready for going out to garden off (and spares for sharing), first signs of green on courgettes here, nothing happening with the beetroot, fennel and tomato seeds I've planted yet.
... let's see how it all pans out.
