Weekend madness

We've had a fabulous week and weekend filled with birthday celebration visitors. Such fun has been had and we've tested out the inside and outside eating and drinking areas to the max. It's distracted us from the gardening a little, but it was well worth it. Thanks to Molly, Chloe, Jack, Kieran and Colin for visiting and a big thank you to Chloe for super gardening help too.

The garden is so dry, we've had no rain since early May and the pond levels are looking really low so the green water butt has been filled with water and left to stand to get the chlorine out before we top it up this coming week.

A little more digging up at the gin terrace has yielded for more bags of soil, with more to come. There are less big river stones in the soil now and more bits of old baling twine, in differing colours, mostly very short strands that are cut off knots.

Mrs blackbird came to say hi too. Her babies have fledged this weekend.

The top path is now finished, this was Pip as he was working on the last section.
