Adding more light on the proceedings ...

The lounge window needed replacing because the frame was rotten and parts of the double glazing had failed so we opted for patio doors to bring a bit more light into the lounge and connect it to the outside patio space. 

It's amazing - we are really pleased with progress.  Should be finished later today and the new outside step will be sorted in a few weeks time.
