Door dilemmas

We've been struggling to find a joiner that can make and fit an internal door to split the hall from the porch this week. More specifically a joiner who can do the work before late October at the earliest.

Finally, thanks to one of Pip's colleagues who recommended someone they know who is local, good and can hopefully do the work in mid September. They came to look and we await their quote but have a start date of either 12th or 19th Sep.

P & I had already had a discussion about placement of the door, which way to open and door size. The red line drawn in the photo indicates the first line we drew. The door would open against the main bedroom wall, which all looked fine. A couple of days later I marked out the door opening curve (white line) and that's when we realised it would impact too much on the internal hall space, eek.

The green line shows the placement of bi-fold doors, which we are finally decided on.
