The "Stookey" Blues
Kitchen progressing.
Colour decided.
Paint ordered.
Our current oak kitchen units will be sprayed next week in Stiffkey Blue, pronounced "stookey".
It's a colour named after the tidal mud on the Norfolk coastline at the village of Stiffkey. The cockles take on the blue hue too.
Stiffkey is right next to Blakeney on the north Norfolk coast. Thats the place where Pip had early holidays and remembers his lovely uncle, Cyril telling him it was pronounced "stookey".
