What a fabulous day it's been
Wojciech arrived with Gary this morning to help with the skirting, partly because it's a job done kneeling and Gary has a dodgy knee, and mostly because there's a lot to do.
They both worked really hard and the rooms look so different.
Gary got on with kitchen tasks - here he is laughing at me taking photos!
Harry the electrician came at lunchtime and got on with all things lights & switches. This is the new lounge light - albeit a little less bright than it should be given the shortage of light bulbs - at least we had one to check it worked!
The kitchen, bathroom and bathroom cupboard got lights fitted. They are very bright - not convinced they'll be gentle on the eye, but we'll see.
There was a good bit of unexpected teamwork when Harry and Wojciech swapped the ovens from 8 & 6 over. Then Harry connected them up.
Later Gary and Wojciech swapped the fridge and fridge/freezer over.
I bought a section of trellis to check which would work better above the fence: 3 or 2 squares.
We think 2 squares is best.
I keep testing the damp readings in the bathroom to confirm that the outside painting has sealed any leaks in the rendering. It seems to be drying out slowly. The next few days will confirm it as it's set to rain!
With all the outside cutting going on the loose sawdust has managed to attach itself to the cobwebs in a very zig-zaggy way.
