Rendering, then larch cladding

Now the structure is complete the next step is to apply a first layer render to seal the walls.

Gary was explaining how the layer goes on quite wet and thin, which makes it weaker than the blockwork, so if something shifts over time the render will crack but not the blocks.

It also means that if in the future someone wants to put a full render on they can.

We'll be having larch cladding.

View from gate looking down the side of the house to the back garden. The rendered wall will have an outdoor sink, shelves and a polycarb roof to create a wash down area and dry store for outdoor things like wellies, walking boots, wet coats etc.
