Steps and walls and walls and steps

The weather has been up and down recently but when the sun shines the outdoor work gets done. Walls have sprung up quickly this week and the stone base for the patio is almost all laid down. 

Tomorrow it's Wochiech's job to use the whacker plate to flatten and level all the stones and then hopefully sometime next week the patio can be laid. It's a dark grey slate which will look lovely once it's all laid. 

It's been so dusty getting this work done. All the facing for the walls have been made using materials on site and the slabs have all needed to be cut for that. 

The last pic gives a little hint to how it's been. All the rockery plants are completely white!
