chipping away

We've had the laminate lifted and we're down to the concrete/self levelling layers.

There's 2 significant high points on the floor that need lowering by 10mm.

The one by the door broke up really easily in large sections on the first layer, but still needs more taking off.

The one at the back of the room is solid and hard to chip away at right from the start. The yellow dotted line shows how much has been chipped away, the white dotted line is how far is needed - and the yellow section needs to go lower.

We have learnt that self levelling compound doesn't self level, but it does smooth out inconsistencies.

We aren't sure at the moment whether we should lift all the loose edged sections by the door.

Progress of sorts!
