phew, what a lovely positive day

Woohoo, the laminate floor has all been lifted and we are back down to concrete. It's such a relief to know that we can level from here and get much closer to what we hope for. 

I've started measuring and worked out the highest point. Next task will be to grind down any high points, there's only one and this image shows the area to be sorted. It needs to come down by 5mm max. Gary is going to grind this out next week, hopefully.

Step 2 will be a mix of self levelling compound to fill the low points and then underlay to fill in any gentle slopes that the other 2 actions haven't quite sorted.
