A round up of the day
Wojchiech arrived much later than expected today. He seems to do this whenever Gary isn't here and it's really frustrating. He did whizz round getting things done once here though ...
He moved the outside tap so it sits over the drain (no pic), ground the slate edges at the cottage entrance to soften the very slight lip where they meet the light grey pathway slabs. Inside he fitted a new handle to the bed for lifting and lowering and fitted a coat rail by the doorway in.
The foam arrived in the afternoon which we needed to protect your feet from catching on the bed edges when it's down - the panel edges are really sharp. The foam clips on really easily and is a snug fit and you can see the new handle too.
I planned and cut the left side panel of wallpaper for hanging, it's a really tricky piece to put in so tomorrow will be interesting! The right side will be just as challenging too but they both need to be in for our visitor arriving on Sunday.
Coat hooks on view by the door. I've moved the shoe rack to under them but will need to see if they create a trip hazard as the edge is quite close to the patio door opening.
I bought a garden table and chairs set yesterday to replace the old set we had with folding chairs that have now split and rusted away. The new to us set just needed a good wipe down and the metalwork painting - I've done the first coat and think it already looks fab.
