a garden visitor

A sparrowhawk visited yesterday, swooping in quietly and swiftly to pick off some unknown feathery prey, seemingly mid air, to settle and demolish it at the back of the garden. 

It's probably clear what the bird was that it got by the feathers left behind!

One less pigeon maybe?
